July 24

Great night cooking at St. Elizabeth Shelter tonight! Many thanks to Lilian Denigro, Anthony Denigro, Lynn Cheek and Larry Cheek for food donations, and thanks to Simon Reed, Nina Kalin, Mike Specht, Celeste Padilla and Adrianna Duncan for cooking a yummy meal! The residents raved about how delicious it was, and were greatly appreciative!

Habitat for Humanity

Thank you Anthony, Melissa, Bonnie, Simon, Gary, Tom, Nina, Vicki, Tessa, and Adrianna for a great day of volunteering! It was enlightening learning about Habitat for Humanity’s mission and history, and a lot of fun helping work on two different homes! If you missed today’s chance to volunteer, watch the calendar for another opportunity coming up in August!

Thank You

A huge thank you to all who helped make our first community clothes closet a success! We redistributed thousands of articles of clothing! A special thanks to all who donated clothing, all who collected, delivered, sorted, washed, and set up clothing, all who lent racks, tables, and shelves, all who volunteered for the event, all who helped deliver clothing, and all who helped clean up following the event!

Thank You Volunteers!

Thank you Celeste, Terrence, Simon, Richard, Jennifer, Caroline, Adrianna, Vicki, Nina, and Ron for helping cook at St. E’s in May and June! Thanks also go out to Angelica Gallegos, Miqui Hejnandez-Eklund, and Eva Eklund for helping man the Living our Faith table for the clothes drive!

Making Adobes for Cornerstones

Thank you Angelica Gallegos, Michael Garcia, Celeste Padilla and Adrianna Duncan for volunteering to help preserve the architectural heritage and cultural traditions of New Mexico. It was fun playing in the mud, and learning how to make adobes! If you were not able to volunteer this past weekend, there will be two other opportunities on May 26 and May 27!

Thank You Volunteers and Donors!

Thank you Vicki Graham, Kathleen Herriges, Tom Herriges, Julie Perez, Lillian Denigro, Anthony Denigro, Celeste Padilla and Adrianna Duncan for volunteering to make dinner for St. Elizabeth Shelter residents on April 24. The residents enjoyed the green chicken chile posole and raved about the homemade cookies! Thanks also to Celeste and Terrence Padilla, Delma DeLora and Adrianna Duncan for making food donations. You are all greatly appreciated!
